2024 – A Year of Milestones, Growth, and Impact
As 2025 approaches, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year that has pushed us to new heights. It’s been a year of expansion, innovation, and connection—a year that reminded us of the power of teamwork and the impact of doing things the right way.
What made this year exceptional? The projects, the partnerships, and, most importantly, the people.
Glencore: A Defining Moment
Our partnership with Glencore to roll out advanced collision avoidance systems across their fleet was not just a highlight of 2024—it was another defining moment for NB Industries.
This project wasn’t just about implementing cutting-edge technology. It was about ensuring the safety of operators working in some of the most high-risk environments imaginable.
Sy-Klone: Exclusive Distributors, Unmatched Innovation
2024 also saw NB Industries become a distributor for Sy-Klone’s air filtration systems. These systems are more than just technical marvels—they’re essential for protecting workers in demanding environments. Capturing 99% of harmful particles, Sy-Klone’s advanced filtration technology is helping redefine workplace safety.
Expanding Horizons
This was a year of growth—in projects, partnerships, and capabilities. From our collaboration with Rig Sales Australia to equip BHP trailers with dual filtration systems, to teaming up with Advanced Fleet Signs in Western Australia, we’ve expanded our reach and expertise.
We also attended and exhibited at key industry events, including IMARC, QME, the Queensland Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference, and the VASA Wire & Gas Expo.
These aren’t just networking opportunities; they’re where the future of mining and transport is shaped. At every event, NB Industries was there—learning, contributing, and leading.
The Heart of NB Industries: Our People
None of this year’s successes would have been possible without the incredible people who make up our team.
- Adam Arcidiacono celebrated 10 years with us, a milestone that highlights the loyalty and dedication driving our success.
- Ethan Reid, who joined as an apprentice four years ago, is now a standout tradesperson. As our Operations Manager Christian Cummings put it: “From starting as an apprentice to becoming a standout tradesperson, your journey has been nothing short of impressive.”
- Michelle completed her Apprenticeship in Certificate III in Automotive Sales – Parts Interpreting, while
- Tameka McGrath earned a promotion to Department Administrator after completing her traineeship.
Making a Difference: Charity and Mental Health
2024 was also a year of giving back. We proudly supported Bandanna Day, raised funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and baked for a cause on Cupcake Day to support the RSPCA. Mental health took centre stage this year. Through initiatives like Movember, Mental Health Week, RU OK? Day, International Women’s Day, and International Men’s Day, we raised awareness, collected funds, and encouraged open, meaningful conversations across our team. Because the truth is, no business can thrive unless its people feel supported, heard, and cared for.
Moments to Remember
Even in moments of reflection, we found purpose. On Miners Memorial Day, we honoured the 75 lives lost in Queensland’s worst mining disaster at Mount Mulligan in 1921. These are the moments that ground us and remind us why we strive for safety and excellence in every project.
It wasn’t all work in 2024. Our Paget Workshop Team enjoyed a well-earned getaway to Hamilton Island, celebrating the dedication that makes everything we do possible. In July, we came together for a night of laughter and connection at Harrup Park.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we turn the page to 2025, we’re more motivated than ever. We’ve built momentum, expanded our capabilities, and strengthened our team. Next year is a chance to go further—to lead, innovate, and make an even greater impact.
To everyone who’s been part of this incredible journey—our team, our partners, and our clients—thank you. Your support made 2024 a year to remember.
Now, let’s make 2025 even better.
