About the role:

NB Industries are looking for Communications Technicians with mine site experience. If you are qualified and have vast communication technologies experience, this may be your next role. The position may include project coverage, ad-hoc repairs and maintenance, as well as permanent lifestyle roster for the right candidate.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Cert III in Telecommunications Technology
• Open Cabler License
• Valid Driver’s License (Provisional/Open)
• Mining Experience
• Experience in IP Network Technologies, Configuration and Fault identification
• Experience in maintenance, installation and fault identification of digital radio communication systems

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

Up to date knowledge of trade and industry, with no less than 5 years (current) experience

• P25, Tetra, DMR experience
• RF/EME Awareness
• Security Provider License
• Restricted Electrical License
• Cisco, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Motorola, Tait, DAMM and Sepura experience & qualifications
• Current S11 or BMA Induction
• Current QLD Coal board Medical
• Working at Heights (current) – Desirable
• HRWL – EWP – Desirable
• Basic Rigging – Desirable
• Fleet Management Experience 
• Modular or Minestar familiarity
